Statement

It all started with the problem of what to do with all the little bits of glass I have leftover from my larger work.  The Ah Hah! moment was treating them like tiny canvases rather than scraps.  Going wild with color and design in small scale is good exercise for my brain, eyes, fingers and heart.  Getting to wear the result is pure fun.

I enjoy in particular working with Murano glass slices I picked up in a factory on the Island of Murano in Italy.  I dragged them back home in my suitcase.  I melt them in the kiln to make tiny "buttons" for earrings and bracelets, and fuse them with clear Murano glass to create pendants, pins and rings that have an unparalleled depth of field and richness of color.
