Scooter Pie came into our lives a week after Buddy Boy died. He was a failed sniffer dog from the Department of Agriculture's Beagle Brigade at JFK airport in Queens, NY. He was extremely bonded to us and we had amazing times jogging, hiking, mountain biking and cross country skiing with him. When we lived in Soho, every Thursday we would put his special Robert Lee Morris collar on him and take him to the bar at the Soho Grand Hotel that allowed dogs. He would bat his eyes and the wait staff would bring him treats on a silver plate and water in a silver bowl. He charmed many a patron out of their appetizers.
